The Past Week

Alot has been going on the past week. I hope to blog a litte more often, but a certain someone has been keeping me busy. Its amazing how a little person rules the roost.

We have been seeing a lactation nurse. In the beginning we were having problems breastfeeding, thank God for nipple shields. The shields have been a blessing. She is still not wanting to latch on to me, but as long as shes gaining and eating well, I don't mind. Anywho, it was the last meeting, unless I need help. It was really sad to think we won't be seeing Aliceann anymore. She was such a Godsend and very helpful. She gave us the moby wrap. If you are having a baby, the moby wrap is freaking awesome. (You can make them yourself). You can care the baby around and have your hands free, it rocks. I use it on a daily basis. I can't do a lot of house work, but I can easily walk the dogs, sit at the computer and other things.

This past weekend Cameron and I had visitors. My friend Mariann from Lexington came to visit and Cameron's friend Snyder from Tech school came to visit. It was a great weekend. It was nice to have our friends here. And if anyone else wants to visit you are more than welcome! We love having people here. I miss everyone so much. One of the highlights of the weekend was the squirrel. Snyder swept my squirrel into the house. I couldn't believe it. He lured the squirrel into the house with peanuts and used the broom to sweep him the rest of the way in. The poor squirrel was scared, I am sure it was an adventure for him. Thankfully he still trusts me and I am still able to feed him. We didn't do much except visit. We had a poker night and a game night. It was so nice to entertain. I haven't had a big group in my house since we lived in Berea.

The Smiths

Hello All!

Just wanted to let everyone know how we are all doing here in Nebraska.

Teagan is doing great! She's almost 6 weeks old. Cameron and I are already so very proud of her. She started rolling over at about 4 weeks and she lifts her head like a pro. We have been trying to do tummy time with her on a daily basis. It's so amazing how much she has grown and developed in the short time she has been in the world. We are still wanting to know what color eyes she is going to have. My mom thinks they will be brown and the lactation nurse thinks they might be blue. I am hoping she has green eyes. My mom always wanted a baby with green eyes, but instead she got three brown eyed monsters. So I am hoping she can get some green eyes out of a grandchild.

Cameron's just peachy. Work is going well for him. This week he is doing some volunteer work. Offutt is having a commanders call, so he has been unloading luggage from planes. Its nice because he gets to come home early and go in late. He's also been working on his bachelors degree. He started in February. We hope that by next year he will have it done.
I have been doing well, tired. Teagan has been keeping me very busy. I love her to pieces and wouldn't have it any other way. She's my world now. I feel bad for the dogs, I don't think that I am able to give them the attention I use to. I hope to get in the habit of giving Molly and Butters a set alone time just for them to get lots of love.
